  • Conducted a four-day bench trial in New York Supreme court in a derivative action between two 50% shareholders alleging assorted breaches and unauthorized use of funds. Verdict pending appeal.
     

  • Prosecuted a $7 million claim for tortious interference on behalf of an investment manager handling structured credit and balance sheet management against one of the largest firms specializing in securitization of trade and consumer receivables. 

  • Prosecuted accounting malpractice claim and settled pre-complaint for 100% of the insured's professional liability policy.

  • Conducted six-day FINRA arbitration proceeding before a three-arbitrator panel on claim for $5 million for vested options. Award pending appeal. 

  • Successfully prosecuted the breach of a franchise agreement on behalf of a national franchisor and after four-day arbitration hearing obtained a two-year injunction prohibiting the franchisee from competing in its former territories.   

  • Prevailed on a motion to stay a Maryland Federal court litigation so that the issue of arbitrability could be decided in Texas by a Texas arbitration panel. 
     

  • Successfully obtained a Section 1782 Order permitting a Dutch client to obtain discovery from a US corporation to use in foreign proceedings in the Netherlands.  
     

  • Prosecuted a corporate dissolution proceeding between 50-50 shareholders in the pharmaceutical industry.  
     

  • Prosecuted internet defamation claims on behalf of corporations and public officials.  

  • Successfully represented iconic national franchisor in $3 million state court litigation claim against closely-held franchisee group.
     

  • Obtained a mandatory injunction in New York Supreme Court ordering the reinstatement of salary in a "business divorce" litigation between 50-50 shareholders.  

 

  • Successfully defeated a TRO application brought by a multi-billion dollar IT provider against two of its former employees for claims of breach of restrictive covenants.

  • Successfully prosecuted a legal malpractice claim arising from a failed 1031 Exchange, resulting in a six figure-settlement.

  • Successfully prosecuted an accounting malpractice claim arising out of improper reporting of accounts, resulting in a six-figure settlement.

 

  • Successfully defeated an injunction action against a departing partner from an executive search company, defending against claims of theft

    of trade secrets.

  • Obtained a $1.7 million jury verdict on behalf of a real estate development company in a damages inquest before a jury for accounting malpractice.
     

  • Obtained a temporary restraining order in Mississippi State Chancery Court preventing the release of a client's proprietary information.
     

  • Prevailed on multiple motions to dismiss for forum non conveniens in both federal and state court actions brought against assorted European litigants.
     

  • Obtained a complete defense verdict in a bench trial on behalf of international garment manufacturer against claims for past commissions exceeding half a million dollars.
     

  • Successfully dismissed on summary judgment a $3 million claim against IT service providers for theft of proprietary computer code and breach of restrictive covenants.
     

  • Defended a partner of international law firm against a multi-million dollar legal malpractice claim arising from an FDIC receivership, and prevailed on a motion to dismiss with prejudice.
     

  • Conducted three-day jury trial on a $300,000 cause of action for breach of contract and fraud in connection with a limited partnership investment in commodities trading, and obtained plaintiff's verdict plus punitive damages in excess of $1 million.
     

  • Defended a national corporation against a class action complaint under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and prevailed on a motion to dismiss.
     

  • Successfully vacated multiple default judgments against domestic and international clients in New York Federal and State court.
     

  • Prevailed on motion before the NYS Workers' Compensation Board to assert exclusive jurisdiction over $65 million personal injury action brought against an international organization whose employee who lost both legs in a land mine explosion in Somalia.
